Alliance Missions
Missions Emphasis
As part of The Alliance, all OVD Churches are required to have what we call a Missions Emphasis Event, or Missions Sunday annually. Resources are available for churches to plan and communicate The Alliance’s heart for missions.
For assistance in planning your Missions Emphasis Event, please contact the district office.
Since 1887, Alliance people have sought to see All of Jesus for All the World. Today, the urgent need remains for devoted Jesus followers to take His good news to the most spiritually dark places on earth. There are four missions structures in the Alliance. Learn more about them below.
Alliance Missions

In partnership with local leaders, local believers, and the local church, Compassion and Mercy Associates’ (CAMA) mission is to demonstrate Christ’s compassion through immediate relief and long-term development that transforms lives and restores communities.
-
marketplace ministries is a membership of C&MA professionals employed in international, secular, and faith settings. The mm team believes that work is worship and all of life’s activities are sacred. Their goal is to disciple people God has placed within their span of influence and establish them in the local church where possible.

As the structure of Alliance Missions with church planting and multiplication as its passion, aXcess worker’s vision is to see a world with the gospel for every person and a church for every people. Often serving on teams alongside our Alliance World Fellowship partners, aXcess workers experience the different stages of reaching people with the gospel: discipling new believers, multiplying believers into faith communities, developing those faith communities into a network of churches, and encouraging church networks to develop a passion for bringing the gospel to more places by becoming a self-sustaining mission movement.

As a ministry of The Alliance, Envision exists to identify and develop missional leaders through short-term missions opportunities and innovative ministry strategies. This is achieved through short-term trips, internships, leadership development, and various ministries within the Alliance family.
With 20+ sites globally and within the U.S., Envision offers opportunities to engage in God’s mission by partnering with local churches in urban settings. Participants gain discipleship experience while working alongside long-term workers who pioneer, develop, and lead impactful ministries.
Each of us has a role in the Great Commission, and you or someone you know may be feeling or certain of God’s call to serve in ministry, whether in the U.S. or overseas. Discover more about serving with The Alliance below.
